Fairness becomes a fact on screen.
A card per person showing their share of income and spending, what they are owed or owe, and what each role is allowed to do. The awkward conversation mostly sorts itself out.
2 minutes to set up · no card · no bank login
- Share of income and share of spending, per person
- Net contribution, or owed back and owes the house
- Settle-up tags for share houses
- Roles from Primary through to Kid
Two numbers that end most arguments
Every member card leads with their percentage of household income and their percentage of household spending, each with the dollar amount and a bar. Not a running commentary, just the two figures people are actually asking about.
The net line adapts to your household
What sits under those shares depends on who you are. Couples and families see a net-to-household line framed as contributor versus spender. Share houses see owed back or owes the house, with settle-up tags. Families with kids see an allowance balance instead.
- Couples and families: net contributor versus spender.
- Housemates: owed back or owes the house, with settle-up tags.
- Kids: a view-only allowance balance they can check themselves.
Settle-up does the maths, not the payment
Settle-up shows who owes whom across rent, bills and anything else the house shares, so nobody has to reconstruct the month from memory. The actual payment happens between you, outside CASHO. CASHO never moves money, pays bills, or transfers funds.
Roles decide who can do what
A household holds multiple members, and roles gate what each one can do. Primary has full control, including deleting the household. Partner or Secondary and Member can add and edit transactions. Viewer is read-only. Family households add Teen, who can view and log, and Kid, who can view only.
- Invite people in Settings, then Members, then Invite, using their email.
- Everyone joins with their own login and sees the shared data in real time.
- You can belong to several households and switch between them, with separate data in each.
Who brings in what
Above the member cards, an overview bar splits the household by member so you can see contribution at a glance. Each member card also lists their top spending categories and their subscriptions, flagging the idle ones.

Does CASHO pay my housemates?
No. CASHO shows who owes whom, and the actual payment happens outside CASHO. It tracks and organises money, it never moves it.
Can I control what other members see?
Yes, through roles. Primary has full control, Partner or Secondary and Member can add and edit, Viewer is read-only, and family households add Teen (view and log) and Kid (view only).
Can other households see our data?
No. Each household’s data is isolated at the database level, so members of another household can never see yours.
